IELTS, The International English language testing system, is designed to test the language ability of the candidates who need to study or work in the country where English is primary language of communication. It is jointly managed by British council, IDP Australia and University of Cambridge. IELTS is widely recognized by universities and employers in USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and UK.
IELTS is available in Two Format – Academic & General Training.
Academic IELTS – This test is mainly for those candidates whose purpose is to do further study in English speaking country.
General Training – This test is for those candidates whose purpose is to do work or immigration in English speaking country.
Exam Pattern
i) Reading Section | 3 Sections, Time Allotted - 20 mins. for each section. |
ii) Listening Section | 4 Section, Time Allotted - 30 mins. |
iii) Speaking Section | Time Allotted - 12 to 15 mins |
iv) Writing Section | 2 Sections, Time Allotted - 20 mins for Task 1 and 40 mins for Task 2 |
